If you’re planning to upload content containing your recordings (including official videos, visualizers, etc.) and/or conducting live streams on your Facebook or Instagram pages, then it’s important you whitelist your artist pages. Whitelisting ensures that your artist pages are not subject to the normal restrictions on the Facebook platforms, and helps prevent your content from being blocked when made live.
To whitelist your pages, please reach out to our Artist Support Team through the Help Tool in Workstation. Once submitted, your Facebook and Instagram pages will be whitelisted within 5 working days. We recommend you whitelist your pages as soon as possible to ensure your pages are ready well in advance of any release dates.
It’s important to note we can only whitelist AWAL artist pages on Facebook and Instagram. We cannot whitelist 3rd party pages. If a 3rd party has received permission to utilize your recording on their page (for a video/release premiere, live stream, etc.) please get in touch with us via the Contact Us page on your Workstation and provide the following:
- ISRC of the track the 3rd party will be using
- A link to the 3rd party’s page
- A short explanation of the use
If you're interested in digging further into the opportunities on Instagram and how to best make use of the platform check out the below video from the AWAL Academy where we speak to Abigail Adeoti (Manager, Audience Development at AWAL)
