Spotify is going all-in on a major spring clean! Starting July 1st, Spotify For Artists is saying goodbye to all artist data that predates June 2020. Yes, you heard that right, your older data will be taking a bow. But don't fret!
All your all-time stream counts for your songs will remain accessible through your AWAL tools!
Regarding these changes, this isn't just a spring clean for the sake of tidying up. Spotify is making room for some exciting new features that are designed to help you engage with your fans and track your music's performance in more detailed ways.
The new Spotify For Artists will feature custom date range filters, giving you the power to dissect your song stats in a more personalized way. It also offers new engagement stats, fan segmentation, and a deep dive into historical data on your audience engagement. And, as a cherry on top, they're adding a new roster management view!
Now, for those of you who are a bit nostalgic and want to hold on to your historical data, there's a way. You can download your data until June 30, 2023. Find the downwards arrow icon on your song pages and click to download the CSV file of your data. Remember though, this trip down memory lane is a desktop-only experience, as the Spotify for Artists app doesn't support this feature.
Also, if you're eager to get a copy of your streaming data from before 2020 directly from Spotify For Artists, be sure to act before the late June deadline. Once the clock strikes twelve, that carriage turns into a pumpkin!
Despite these changes, rest assured, you can still access your complete historical Spotify data through the trusty AWAL Suite's Insights tool and the AWALGo App.
Remember, in this rapidly evolving music industry, change is the only constant. Stay tuned, stay updated, and let's embrace these changes to make the most of the opportunities they present. After all, they say the future belongs to the curious. Keep strumming those strings and penning those lyrics. You're making magic!
