This quick walkthrough will help you better understand how you get set up for receiving royalties and reviewing statements at AWAL. Below the video are written instructions...
Banking & Tax Information
You will be guided to the Banking & Tax App during the onboarding process in the AWAL Suite. This involves two steps before we can start accounting for you. You can navigate to this section as long as you have "Admin" permissions to the account. If you don't, you can speak to other "Admin" account holders on your label to change your permissions.
Step 1: Payoneer
The Banking section leans on Payoneer which is a third-party service. We've outlined that process with a walkthrough here. You'll add your personal details, banking info, and so on.
- Please make sure to register a bank account that bears the same name as the contracting entity in your agreement
- If you have existing accounts with Payoneer or multiple accounts with AWAL, you will need to signup with a new email address. You can use aliases for that as explained here.
- US-signed clients will also receive an email requesting a tax form from Payoneer once your banking details are approved. You will need to submit the requested details to Payoneer in response to that email.
Step 2: Tax Information
In the Tax Information section, you'll add tax details required by the country you should be paying tax in. Follow all the instructions therein.
In most cases, you will select your country of tax residence and edit your VAT information (registration and details if relevant).
For US-signed clients, however, the Tax Information section will be locked, and you will need to submit your tax forms on Payoneer. After you have completed Payoneer registration (see above), you can submit your tax forms in one of two ways:
- When you receive the email from Payoneer requesting tax forms, you can follow the link therein to submit your documents
- You can log in to Payoneer and go to Settings > Tax forms to submit your documents
Once you have completed this and the payoneer section the screen will look as follows...
