TikTok is a free-to-use, social media app that allows users to create, share, and download short form videos. TikTok is designed for short-form videos and often features clips of sound recordings which users can preview on the service from a vast music catalog.
The music you upload to AWAL will be delivered to TikTok by default and will be available on release day. This means your tracks are available to users in the TikTok catalog for preview and implementation in videos. Users will be able to preview and feature up to 60-seconds of your official Sound.
The preview start time determines the timestamp where your sound will start. The default in Product Builder is 00:00:00 which oftentimes is not optimal. You can set the correct preview start time on the track level in Product Builder before submitting the product by following the instructions outlined in this article: How can I set the preview start time for my releases on TikTok?
AWAL will collect royalties from TikTok on your behalf and account for any royalties earned to you in your monthly statements. You can view TikTok earnings in your statements file which can be downloaded from the Workstation.
